Energy of Full Moon – Do’s and Don’ts

In this post, we discuss about the importance of energy of full moon and dos and donts for taking maximum advantage of this energy.

In this post, we will discuss the full moon energy and its role in manifestation and overall well being.

Moon and its role in manifestation:

There is tremendous power in harnessing the energy of the moon. You can use this energy to improve your health, your career, or your relationships.  When you align with these phases, you work with natural forces to clarify and continually refine what you want to call into your life until it comes to fruition.

Over time, when you commit to learning how to manifest with the moon, in all her phases, you ultimately live more in sync with your natural environment. Moon rituals are an ancient and sacred practice that originated in Egypt, Babylonia, India, and China where moon worship was a part of the culture. The phases of the moon influence the growth or decline of plants, animals, and human life.

Significance of Full Moon Ritual

When the full moon arrives, it’s time to create space to take stock of what has and hasn’t come to fruition just yet. A full moon ritual is a time to get quiet, reflect, and celebrate. Unlike the new moon, the full moon represents fruitfulness and completeness and brings with it a lot of energy. Here’s how to approach your ritual:

1. Meditate

Full moon meditations are a powerful way to tap the luminous lunar energy and harness the energetic power of the moon’s light. You can do a full moon meditation before any of your rituals to set up the right mindset and align yourself with what you want to accomplish. 2. Release

Full moon is a potent time for letting go of what’s no longer serving you. Write down a list of everything you want to release from your life, and read them aloud with intention, – “I release you!” or “Thank you for your service—you are free to move on!”

3. Review your wishes

The energy of full moon can help solidify your intentions and help you manifest and bring this to completion. You can create a sacred space (can be your puja room) in your home where you can perform this ritual. Gather some inspirational objects (photos, wish chits, crystals, vision boards, wish box or anything that contains or represents the energy of what you want to manifest).

Next, meditate and relax your mind for a few moments as you get clear on what you’re calling in. Let go of any judgment and close your eyes as you visualize yourself attracting exactly what you want. You can use the objects as points of focus.

If you are a Reiki practitioner and maintain a wish box, this is a good time to review your wish chits in your wish box. Clear the wish box of any wishes which have manifested or are not relevant, thank and express gratitude to universe the same

4. Take a cleansing moon bath

The full moon’s light can cleanse and rejuvenate us emotionally. You can sit or walk in a full moon, and feel getting cleansed and balanced on an emotional level. If you have your feet in grass or soil, you also get added benefit of connecting and receiving healing energies from Mother Earth. You can also keep water in moonlight (cover suitably with a sieve), power it with an intention that it absorbs the healing energies of moon & drink the same in the morning. You can also put out your crystals in moon light for cleansing.

What NOT to do during the full moon:

1. Overstretch:

Full moon is a time full of energy – so there is a possibility to overdo things. Take it easy. Avoid getting stressed or overworking yourself. Do some deep breathing, do your self-Reiki and meditate.

2. Start something new

Full moon represents completion. If possible, start your new projects around the new moon and use the full moon to rest, reflect, and release any old emotions or beliefs.

3. Make life-changing decisions

Since emotions are charged up during full moon, they can prompt knee-jerk reactions. Avoid making any big decisions during this time. If you need to do, spend some time in nature to ground yourself or do a grounding mediation to ground yourself first.
